Chelsea have signed one of the most exciting talents in South America and Neymar has been speaking about him.

Brazilian legend Neymar has predicted that Chelsea signing Estevao Willian will be an absolute superstar for his club and country in the coming years. Chelsea took the risk to agree on a deal that will eventually be £52 million for the 17-year-old wonderkid.

He doesn't arrive at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2025, but he continues to dazzle and excite with Palmeiras in the Brazilian league. He is a rare breed for European clubs but plays the kind of football that gets fans on the edge of their seats.

Neymar, who is now at the end of what has been a stellar career, says Estevao will be a ‘genius’ by the time he reaches the peak of his powers.

The former Barcelona and PSG star is quoted by ESPN: "He is a great talent that is emerging in Brazilian football today. I think he's going to be a genius."

Chelsea paid £32 million upfront and will top up after agreeing to spread out the deal. In a project that has seen the club replace some experienced players with young, talented, and promising players, they have spent £1 billion in the last two transfer windows.

This summer, they have also agreed to sign Tosin Adarabioyo, who turned down the chance to stay at Fulham and instead crossed the bridge to Stamford Bridge. They have also been linked to signing Aston Villa youngster Omari Kellyman, with the first part of his medical already done.

On the outgoing side, they agreed to sell Ian Maatsen for £37 million after he impressed massively during his loan spell at Dortmund, where he helped them reach the final of the Champions League.

The likes of Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah are still being linked with exits as they look to generate more money to fund their summer targets.
