Chelsea have been long-term admirers of Michael Olise, but Palace sources maintain no contact has been made.

One of the stories of the summer will be the two-way fight between Chelsea and Manchester United for Crystal Palace forward Michael Olise. The French forward is one of the exciting players in the league and the Eagles have a real fight on their hands to hold on to their prized asset.

Despite two hamstring injuries, Olise bagged 10 goals and six assists in 19 league games this season. He looks to be going from strength to strength as the years go by. LondonWorld sources have said Chelsea want to bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer and the fact that he signed a new contract last summer will not put them off.

Olise’s contract has a release clause which Chelsea is aware but they’re also aware that Manchester United are a strong contender and can offer Europa League football while Chelsea can only offer Europa Conference League

Palace are expected to hold out for a sizeable fee for their asset amid heightened interest. United cannot offer Olise Champions League football next season neither can Chelsea so this is really going to be about who has the biggest financial package.

The south London club will definitely play hardball but this is one of the transfers that could define this summer.

Chelsea looking to sign at least four players

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Enzo Maresca after the departure of Mauricio Pochettino. Now they will look to get straight into transfers with a defender, a striker and another forward on the list for the Blues this summer.

For Palace, they had the best finish to a season in recent history winning their last five games to jump from 14th to 10 on the league table and above Brighton and Hove Albion.
