QPR youngster seals League Two move

QPR defender Arkell Jude-Boyd has completed a deal to join League Two side Cheltenham Town this summer following his release from Loftus Road.

The 21-year-old spent part of last season on loan at National League South club Torquay United and won the club's Young Player of the Year award having bagged six goals in 17 appearances. The versatile player can be deployed as either a full-back or a winger.

Jude-Boyd joined QPR as part of the under-9s and signed his first professional contract in 2022. He never made a first team appearance for the club.

Cheltenham boss Michael Flynn said: "He could be a real asset for the football club. He is energetic, he can play both sides and even though he's naturally left-footed, he is more confident on his right, which is new to me! He has pace and we could mould him into a very good player going forward and defending."

Former Watford target transfer listed

A trio of EFL clubs, including Watford, could be on alert this week as a former transfer target has been given the green light to make a summer move.

Sory Kaba was linked with a switch to the Hornets, as well as Cardiff City and Birmingham City last summer, with the Blues supposedly agreeing a fee with Danish outfit FC Midtjylland for the player. However, the 21-year-old eventually moved to UD Las Palmas.

The La Liga outfit paid over €2 million for the striker but, after scoring just once in 17 league appearances, Spanish outlet Canarias has reported he has been given permission to leave either on loan or a permanent deal.

Kaba has experience in the Championship after a loan spell with Cardiff City in the 2022/23 season, when he scored eight times in 17 appearances to help the Bluebirds survive the drop.

Any Leeds United hope of bringing Roma midfielder Edoardo Bove to Elland Road have suffered another blow amid news of Premier League bids for the player.

The Whites were reported to be looking at a deal for the 22-year-old but a failure to clinch promotion had dented transfer plans with Bove reluctant to move to the Championship. Any hope of convincing the player to join Daniel Farke's second tier project may have now received a further blow as Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that bids have come in from Everton and Bournemouth.

Roma are believed to be looking for around £15 million to green light a move for Bove, who made 31 Serie A appearances last season as the club finished sixth in the division.
