Tottenham and Aston Villa have been linked to Juventus star Weston McKennie all summer.

Tottenham are not interested in signing Juventus star Weston McKennie at this moment, LondonWorld can exclusively report. Despite reports in Italy and national newspapers linking the 25-year-old to North London, sources close to the club have confirmed that Spurs are focusing on other targets.

Aston Villa have been highly active in the transfer market, with the anticipated sale of key midfielder Douglas Luiz to Juventus. Reports suggest Villa want the US international as they look to strengthen their team ahead of next season.

The Telegraph reported a race between Villa and Spurs for McKennie, but Spurs sources have clarified exclusively to LondonWorld: “We are not interested in Weston McKennie at the moment. I don't know what will happen in the future, but as of today, he’s not one we are looking at.”

This leaves Villa as the frontrunners for McKennie, who played 34 games for Juventus last season. Villa, who beat Tottenham to Champions League football last season, are looking to strengthen their squad for the upcoming challenges.

Tottenham's Transfer Window Update

Spurs have started the transfer window strongly, securing forward Timo Werner for another season on loan, allowing them time to decide on a permanent deal. They have also freed up wage bill space by offloading high earners like Eric Dier and Ivan Perisic. Academy graduate Japhet Tanganga and injury-prone left-back Ryan Sessegnon have also departed.

Wales international defender Joe Rodon who spent last season out on loan at Leeds United is back at the club but is likely to be sold this summer with clubs in the Championship and Premier League interested.
