The message said that Barking and Dagenham Council had deemed the planned event space of Central Park would no longer be able to host the weekend’s staging safely due to “record levels of rainfall this year”.

Below is everything We Are Fstvl ticket holders need to know about getting a refund for the music festival.

Barking and Dagenham Council said in a statement: “We are sorry to announce that the We Are FSTVL event organised by Rebelia Ltd and scheduled to take place in Central Park, Dagenham on the weekend of 25-26 May has had to be cancelled.

“This difficult decision has been made due to health and safety concerns.

“LBBD's recent assessment of Central Park, after record levels of rainfall this year, has found the site cannot safely host the physical demands of We Are FSTVL’s equipment and audience.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
