Winger update

Spurs have been linked with a move for promising Club Brugge winger Antonion Nusa. In this latest update regarding the player’s future, HITC Sport claim Crystal Palace have made ‘contact’ with him as they look to win the race for his signature.

The likes of Wolves and Brentford have also been credited with an interest. Postecoglou’s side may now need to act fast if they are still keen on luring him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium anytime soon.

Spurs are well stocked up with options in attacking areas with Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski, Heung-Min Son, Brennan Johnson, Manor Solomon and Timo Werner at their disposal. However, Nusa would be a useful long-term option if they were able to get him in.

At the age of 19, the Norway international has a bright future ahead of him in the game. Club Brugge signed him back in 2021 and he has since broken into their first-team despite his tender age.

He has made 82 appearances for the Belgian club in all competitions to date, chipping in with seven goals.

Attacker latest

Spurs were said to be keen on Hull City winger Jaden Philogene earlier this year. GiveMeSport claimed in March that the England youth international was on their radar.

According to Football Insider, Barcelona are now eyeing a shock swoop to try and lure him to La Liga.

Dean Jones told GiveMeSport: “He does fit the profile that they are looking for in terms of players that are emerging and going to be capable of making a big breakthrough in the Premier League.

“I can believe that he would be on their radar, based on everything else I've heard. He is obviously having a pretty big season, and he made a name for himself with the special goal he scored at Rotherham.”

Philogene was on the books at Aston Villa from 2018 to 2023 and played six games for the Midlands outfit. He also had loan spells away from Villa Park in the Championship at Stoke City and Cardiff City to get some experience under his belt.

Hull managed to snap him up on deadline day last September and his decision to drop into the second tier on a permanent basis has worked out well for him.

He has managed to get plenty of game time under his belt and has scored 12 goals so far for the East Yorkshire outfit, as well as getting six assists.

The Londoner’s future is up in the air after the Tigers missed out on the play-offs last term. They finished in 7th place and were three points off the top six in the end.
